Shruti Sinha
Shruti Sinha is a land use planner originally from Los Angeles, California. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara, she earned her J.D. from Whittier Law School with a concentration in Environmental Law.
Shruti’s love for environmental and land use law eventually led her to a career in urban planning. For several years, she served in the public sector as an environmental planner for the State of California’s San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission. It was there she realized that public access to natural resources is necessary to foster public stewardship over those resources. Since then, she has been an ardent believer in providing physical/visual access to natural resources and facilitating opportunities for recreational and quiet enjoyment.
After switching coasts in 2024, Shruti joined Manassas law firm Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian, P.C. as a land use planner. In this role, she assists the firm’s land use attorneys in navigating land use and zoning cases in Prince William and other Northern Virginia counties.
Land use practice is collaborative in nature, and Shruti enjoys working with engineers, architects, environmental scientists, urban planners, attorneys, developers, property owners, and government officials. She loves learning to see the world through the eyes of different subject matter experts and addressing competing interests to facilitate development that serves everyone.
In her current role, Shruti’s projects span the gamut of industrial, commercial, residential, institutional, and agricultural developments and include data centers, small businesses, single- and multi-family developments, churches, and agritourism. Her favorite type of project remains park planning. Shruti is therefore thrilled to once again have a hand in such endeavors as a part of the Prince William Parks Foundation.
In her free time, Shruti enjoys cycling and snowboarding with her husband and weekend brunches with friends.
