Self-Service Kayak Rental Units
A self-serve kayak rental unit will be installed on a concrete pad near a public water access point, allowing people without their own gear to enjoy the water. Users can rent a kayak—complete with paddle and safety gear—directly through an app on their phone, similar to how Bird or Lime scooters and e-bikes work. Each unit is estimated to cost $50,000, which includes the installation of the concrete pad and a large, secure 8-locker metal storage cage. Every location is treated as a standalone project, giving donors the option to contribute directly to a site of their choice.
